EOY 2014

EOY is an annual non-profit event run by local volunteers who love and are passionate about Japanese pop culture. This is my first time attending it which was held at the Marina Barrage. This event is very much focused and supported by local performers and artists.

The main attraction to these events are usually the stage events, merchandises and cosplays. The stars of the stage event were Nico Nico dancers Marisu and Penta. A well written write-up of them can be found here (Marisu) and here (Penta).

My Take

Very good turnout. It seemed kind of disappointing at first when I arrived but eventually it was fun and successful. Lots of space for cosplayers, interesting stage performances. One thing that was lacking on the stage is an emcee. How could you not have an emcee???!
